About Jesus & Salvation

One man stands at the center of all creation: Jesus.

It is no accident that His name has been shared around the world for the last 2000 years.

He is called the “Light” of this world, and He is mankind’s only hope.

Please let us introduce you to Him and share why everyone needs Him.

I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

– John 8:12

JESUS WAS BORN FOR A PURPOSE

Jesus was born for a purpose.  His purpose was to redeem or save mankind.

We needed saving?

Yes, the Bible warns us that we are all sinners and we will be judged.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

– Hebrews 9:27

For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

– Ecclesiastes 7:20

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

– Romans 3:23

JESUS CAME TO SAVE US

Our sin costs a price.

For us, the price of sin is death for eternity.  Death does not refer to our soul disappearing from existence, but rather the souls of mankind being thrown into a place called the lake of fire, were they will burn for all eternity.  This is a scary thought, but our God showed incredible mercy.

God the Father loved us so much He sent His own Son to die in our place.

Jesus paid the price of our sin by choosing to die on the cross for us.  This was His purpose and plan.

Mankind desires to be loved, but this world only offers temporary satisfaction.  God’s love is the “love” this world is searching for but won’t find in the world.

WE have a God that loved us more than anyone can comprehend.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

– Romans 6:23

But God commendeth (demonstrated) his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us..

– Romans 5:8

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

– John 3:16

JESUS WAS THE ONLY ONE WORTHY TO TAKE OUR PLACE

You may ask, “Why is Jesus worthy?“

First, Jesus is a man, yet He is God.  The Bible teaches that Jesus is part of the Trinity.  All three existed before time began; God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit.

Second, Jesus lived on this earth and never sinned.  He never told a lie.  He never stole.  He never did anything wrong.  This means that He didn’t have to be judged for His own sin.  He was innocent.

Third, Jesus came to earth for this purpose.  He came to earth to save you.  He knew who you would be before the earth was formed and He came to save you personally.

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

– II Corinthians 5:21

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

– Isaiah 9:6

And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

–  I John 3:5

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

– John 3:7

....SO! HERE IS THE GOOD NEWS!

Jesus died on the cross for our sins.

Jesus was buried.

Jesus rose from the dead on the third day, showing His power over death.

Jesus now sits at the right hand of God the Father in heaven.

Jesus will be returning for his own.

The Good News: The price for your sin has been paid.

Jesus paid it and He now offers you the free gift of salvation or eternal life in heaven, if you will put your faith in Him.  Unfortunately, many people refuse this free gift by rejecting Jesus.

For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

– 1 Peter 3:18

But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

– Isaiah 53:5

Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

–  Colossians 2:14

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

– 1 Corinthians 15:3,4

SALVATION - How can I be saved?

Believe what the Bible says about Jesus. Fully put your faith in Jesus alone as payment for your sins and accept His free gift. “For by grace are ye saved through faith” (Ephesians 2:8) God showed grace in giving His Son to die for us; we must accept His gift through putting our faith in Jesus.

Pray and ask Jesus to save you.Tell Him you are a sinner and need Him to save you. Tell Him that you are willing to turn from sin. Tell Him that you believe what the Bible says about Him.

Remember the prayer itself does not save you. We don’t put our faith in a prayer; our faith is in Christ Jesus the Lord.  When you pray and ask Jesus to save you, you are acting in obedience to His Word and giving an outward indication of what is happening inwardly.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

– Romans 10:13

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

– Romans 10:9,10

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  Not of works, lest any man should boast.

–  Ephesians 2:8,9

…Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved….

– Acts 16:31
